it's coming to a year now and life has gone on. but it doesnt stop me from thinking about him every once in awhile. before all this i never knew what my limits were, i thought that in life i should just do things to finish it and move on, like school and especially for army. but when he left i realised that i needed to be more than i could be for his sake. and i think i've done that looking where i am. hopefully i carry that on along the way my entire life. bus rides, arcade games, even passing by seemingly innocuous places, brings tears to my eyes. a part of me has left and one day, perhaps, i'll get used to that.

i dunno if its possible that i've felt so demoralised in my life. if you were to ask me if bslc was tough i would say that it's quite slack actually. but im the most fucking suay person in the world having gotten into unnecessary trouble and unintentionally pissing higher authorities off. and honestly doesnt pay i realised that now. im being told to face the music but it requires me to face the prospect of not being able to come home next weekend for an offence that doesnt befit the punishment. im getting so sick and demoralised and physically im feeling the toll. i just hope these 2 weeks fly by and i get through it intact and sane. the only positive is that i finally got a silver for ippt after failing three times in a row. pls god gimme back my life again

i was just going through some of lao gu's stuff when my grandma brought out some pictures and letters. somehow looking through all these makes me feel at peace and kinda happy. the first photo is of my greatgrandma with lao gu when he was a kid with her two sisters by her side taken in india where they were from. and the letter was some hindi letter of my greatgrandma's that i found that i thought was quite funny.

the third picture is of my grandmother with lao gu when they were young which i found damn cute and below that is my greatgrand father whom i added in just cos i thought he looks damn cool. the rest of it are of lao gu and i when i was young and when he used to take care of me. it's great to see all this somehow.

i'd just like to add in the fact that i stepped on a needle today and it went right through my sole (get it?) and right now there's a red hole under my foot and it hurts. it really does.

and i got blamed for stepping on it by my grandma. sometimes she's so unreasonable it's funny. but i love her so so much. really do.

i just think it's so sad that we waste two years of our lives. i don't think there's anything wrong with the system. in fact i think ns is a good thing. it's just that i think it's shitty that i have to go through it. not so much shitty. sad more like it. it's easy for outsiders to say ohh yea good good. pls la if im a foreigner i'll say that too. but having to go through it is different.

i like how sometimes you just manage to dig out old songs that you use to listen to and just be reminded of a particular time and place. for me it does.

some songs just remind me of different places and emotions and stuff. like how hearing john mayer reminds me of australia. and james morrison of america and panic at the disco makes me feel like shit. i dunno why.
